We have been trying to visit the museum in Mortlach, Saskatchewan for many years now but either always had no time to stop or we could only stop at a time when they were closed. This time I made a special effort to make sure we showed up when we could actually get inside and tour.
The museum is housed inside the village’s original fire hall from 1911. In addition to housing the horse-drawn fire apparatus, the building also housed the village’s jail cell on the main floor, along with the village offices and courtroom on the second floor.
